DevJam 2017 Proposal

When

Sunday, July 16, 2017 through Friday, July 21, 2017.

Where

Due to changes in US immigration policies, Dev-Jam has been moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, specifically Concordia University. We will be reserving a number of single rooms in the historic Grey Nuns Building and you can book a room with your registration. If you would rather stay in a more traditional hotel, or if you are local, you can register without a room as well.

Building information:

Address
1185 St Mathieu St
Montreal, QC H3G 1M8

Transportation

All group activities are either reachable via bus, the light rail system or walking. A car is not needed for most attendees, which includes getting to and from the airport. If you do use a car, parking can be arranged near the facilities, when registering let us know.

Cost

If you wish to attend, the cost for the week including lodging will be US$1500, without lodging the cost is US$800. This will include a private room (with a shared bathroom with one other room), Internet connectivity and all meals.

The OpenNMS Group will be covering a lot of the expenses, although there are also sponsorship opportunities.

Registration

Registration is now open.

Sponsorship

We are offering sponsorships of Dev-Jam as well. The money goes to offset the costs associated with holding the conference and to get contributors from remote places that couldn't afford to attend otherwise. The cost of a sponsorship is $2500.

Sponsorship gets your company logo and a link prominently displayed in the footer of every page on the OpenNMS wiki (with over 70,000 unique visitors a month), as well as inclusion on materials (handouts and banners) during the conference. The link will remain for about one year, until the start of the next conference.

Please contact the organizers if you are interested in sponsorship.
